Paolo Portoghesi
He graduated in architecture from the University of Rome and since 1958 he has been working as free lance architect devoting himself mainly to city planning.He teaches History of architecture at the University of Rome. He wrote several publications and essays and was the editor of Controspazio, Eupalino, Materia magazines. Since 1983 he has been President of the Biennial in Venice since 1983, and was conferred a honorary degree by the University of Lausanne (1984). His works have been awarded many prizes and have been included in publications and exhibitions. As a designer, he collaborated with Cleto Munari, Ceramiche Montesanto, Poltronova, Richard-Ginori as well.
