After Morrison’s “Candlestick family” comes Danti and Zanzi’s “TURN ME ON”: over there evoking the corolla of a flower that is opening up, over here evoking a slender bulb that remains closed. Clearly, when it comes to an iconic reference for candlesticks, it is flowers that best fit the bill.
Danti Elena
Florence-born architect and designer. Holds a Masters in Jewellery Design and lectures in Interior Architecture at the University of Florence. Her work divides between industrial design and planning display spaces for art and design exhibitions, most notably the “TUSCAN.Y.” project, involving organising the spaces in New York’s Altman Building Gallery.
Zanzi Enrica
Ivrea-born designer. Holds a Domus Academy Diploma and has worked with Guido Venturini and Aldo Cibic. Lives in Florence, where she works on industrial design, stage sets and theatrical costumes. Qualified in teaching Art Therapy and holds courses in ceramics modelling.
LPWK
Born in Bergamo, Italy, Laura Polinoro graduated in Drama Art and Music Studies in Bologna. Her first job was in the field of contemporary dance as art director and costume and set designer. Later she undertook research at the Domus Academy in Milan. From 1990 to 1998 she was in charge of the Centro Studi Alessi, where she operated as meta-project designer and art director, coordinating workshops both in-house and in association with various universities and design institutes the world over. She was also involved in publishing and communications activities. Items which entered production in that period are identified with the acronym “CSA”. Since 2004 products overseen by Ms. Polinoro have been identified with the letters "LPWK"
