German (1904-1965). Blacksmith, silversmith, architect, he entered the Bauhaus in 1924. In 1930/31 he was artistic director of the lamp company Goldschmidt & Schwabe.

The set of two tea infusers with stand, by Rittwegger (1904-1965) and Knau (1897-1945) is an example of the projects created in the metal workshops of the Bauhaus between 1924 and 1930 under the direction of Lazlò Moholy-Nagy. This is a useful and elegant product, and a good example of that type of complexity of design and sophistication of processing, and that absolute attention to detail, of which our production department is rightly proud.
