Alberto Alessi, President of Alessi s.p.a., will be presented with the “Abitare il Tempo” prize at the 25^th anniversary of the Verona event on 16-20 September.

The Scientific Committee, made up of Carlo Amadori, Vanni Pasca and Luca Scacchetti, explained this acknowledgment of the Omegna entrepreneur as follows: Alberto Alessi has expressed a personal and innovative vision of the role of his company, transforming it, in these decades of major change, into one of the most important names in Italian and international design.

Now in its ninth year, the “Abitare il Tempo” prize is awarded to individuals or institutions that have contributed to the development of design as an ethical and aesthetic activity designed to improve the quality of contemporary living.

Over the years, the Prize has been awarded to the following illustrious names: Ettore Sottsass, Maddalena De Padova, Pierluigi Cerri, Vico Magistretti and Michele De Lucchi, Ingo Maurer, Alessandro Mendini, Rolf Fehlbaum and Gillo Dorfles.
