Der Feinschmecker, the most important cuisine magazine issued in Germany, since 20 years promotes the competition < Aufsteiger des Jahres > (the emerging chef of the year). Among the winners are the most important German young chefs.

Alessi is partner and sponsor of the 2008 edition award, according to its strong feeling with the German gourmand and design fans.

The event took place in the Restaurant Do & Co at the BMW Welt in Munich, where Alessi and Der Feinschmecker awarded the chefs: Eduard Dimant (32), Restaurant "Do & Co", BMW-Welt of Munich, the winner; Mathias Dieter, (32) Restaurant "Töpferhaus" in "Seehotel Töpferhaus" di Alt-Duvenstedt, second-best and  Kevin Fehling (31), Restaurant "La Bell Epoque", Hotel "Columbia Casino Travemünde" di Lübeck, third place.
