Born in Bergamo, Italy, Laura Polinoro graduated in Drama Art and Music Studies in Bologna. Her first job was in the field of contemporary dance as art director and costume and set designer. Later she undertook research at the Domus Academy in Milan. From 1990 to 1998 she was in charge of the Centro Studi Alessi, where she operated as meta-project designer and art director, coordinating workshops both in-house and in association with various universities and design institutes the world over. She was also involved in publishing and communications activities. Items which entered production in that period are identified with the acronym “CSA”. Since 2004 products overseen by Ms. Polinoro have been identified with the letters "LPWK"
GBorn of diplomat parents (Metz, 1978), Gabriele Chiave spent his childhood and teenage years in several countries, from Dakar, to Caracas, Buenos Aires, Milan and Rome. In this city he completed a bachelor in French, to which followed a 3-year studies in Industrial Design at IED in Milan.
The next 5 years, as an external, he concluded projects for Emergency, Rotari, Epson, Toshiba and Pirelli. Among the most significant working experiences are Marc Sadler studio, as well as the work for prestigious Italian brands such as Alessi (organising of 7 Workshops held by LPWK/Alessi), Dainese, Foscarini and Serralunga.
At Marcel Wanders since 2007, he is at the core of the creative direction team - together with Marcel Wanders and Karin Krautgartner - overseeing all projects in product and interior design, and art direction for a range of premium brands.
