Alessi opens a new affiliate office in Tokyo. ALESSI JAPAN CO.LTD thus links up with other affiliate offices in London, Paris, Munich and New York. To mark the occasion, from Monday 16 June a series of events will be launched in the far East involving Alberto Alessi and Alessandro Bonfiglioli, CEO and General Manager respectively of Alessi.

HONG KONG

Opening of the exhibition dedicated to the "Tea & Coffee Towers" project in the main lobby of Landmark, Hong Kong’s luxury shopping centre. Closes 19 June. The opening will be preceded by a press conference at the Kee Club, during which Alberto Alessi will portray Alessi as a quintessential example of the Italian design factory phenomenon and will also introduce the "Tea & Coffee Towers" project.

At 10 a.m. lecture by Alberto Alessi at the Hong Kong Design Centre.

TAIWAN
>18 June
9.45 a.m. Lecture by Alberto Alessi in the Auditorium of the National Palace Museum. Press conference to follow at 2 p.m.

TOKYO
>19 June
Dinner and organised event involving Alberto Alessi in a cooking demo using the "Pasta Pot", an innovative kitchen utensil for preparing pasta and one with which Alessi proposes not only a new type of saucepan, but a new cooking technique that differs radically from classical Italian cuisine.
Along with members of the press, several important and internationally renowned Japanese designers and architects will be present, amongst whom Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa (founders in 1995 of the Tokyo based firm Sejima, Nishizawa and Associates - SANAA) as well as Naoto Fukasawa and Oki Sato.
