Alessi, one of the world's most innovative design companies, opens a new own-brand shop in London's newest shopping destination the Westfield London Shopping Centre on 30th October 2008.

The design of this new store is a graphic variation of a concept by Italian architect Alessandro Mendini, who is one of Alessi's long-time collaborators.

Alessi's new shop will be the first the company has opened in Europe to be located in a purpose-built shopping centre. With a display area of approximately 90 m2, the store will carry the full range of Alessi's products including cookware, tableware, bar and wine, electrical, tea and coffee and gifts from its different collections: Officina Alessi, Alessi and A di Alessi.

Westfield London is a landmark development, the largest in-town shopping and leisure development in Europe and is 150,000 sq m.  The new centre incorporates fashion, homewares and leisure in a new space that pushes the boundaries of retail design.  Conceived in collaboration by a number of internationally acclaimed architects the vision for Westfield London is influenced by nature, with water and light recurrent themes.  A vast central Atrium provides a meeting place where events and exhibitions will be staged throughout the year.

Alessi's flagship store is in London's Brook Street, W1 and Alessi branded store-within-stores can be found in Selfridges (London, Manchester and Birmingham) and in Harrods of London.  Alessi is distributed throughout the UK.
