HAUS MODERN LIVING TO OPEN FIRST ALESSI BOUTIQUE IN ARIZONA

New Phoenix store to open in CityCenter of CityNorth®

Alessi, world-renowned manufacturer of inspired designed objects, announced that it will open its newest store on November 21, 2008 at the new CityNorth development located at 56th Street and Deer Valley Drive, north of the 101 Freeway, in Phoenix, Arizona.  The store opens in conjunction with haus modern living, an exclusive Arizona retailer specializing in modern living and home accessories. The new store will feature products from Alessi’s vast catalog of more than 3,000 design objects for the home, table, kitchen, office, and more.

The new 1,300 square-foot boutique, featuring 900 square feet of retail space will open during Phase One – High Street of the new mixed-use development, CityNorth, envisioned to be the new urban core of the Northeast Valley of Phoenix.  Upon completion, CityNorth will offer more than 3 million square feet of shopping, dining, residential, hotel, office, and medical suite space, creating a “city within a city” in the Northeast Valley neighborhood.  Other confirmed retailers for the development include D&G Designs, GUESS, King and Duck, Little Artika, MAC Cosmetics, and Yogurberry.

The Alessi shop will feature a shelving system designed by Hani Rashid and Lise-Anne Couture of Asymptote Architectural Design and Research Practice in New York City. The new boutique also features an all-glass storefront that faces east and sits directly across from the site of Nordstrom, which will open in phase two of the CityNorth development in the fall of 2010.  The new store will carry more than 1,000 products from all three divisions of Alessi (A di Alessi, Alessi, and Officina Alessi) and will have the largest inventory of Alessi products in the state.

“We are extremely pleased to be opening this new Alessi shop with haus modern living,” said Paolo Cravedi, Managing Director of Alessi USA.  “haus has always offered a fun and unique shopping experience to the Phoenix and Scottsdale communities and we are thrilled to expand our already successful partnership with them.”
