Elena Manferdini is a young architect who left her native Bologna for California where she worked with Greg Lynn for some years. This project in sheet steel, with an openwork decoration (perforated according to a texture) recalling a knowledgeable, contemporary interpretation of Arts & Crafts, is in fact quite a challenge for sheet metal processing. It’s no coincidence that before seeing the light of the day, this Basket had been under scrutiny in our laboratory for several years searching for a production method that would allow it to be produced at a reasonable cost, albeit “high-end”.
