What better way to start the year than by celebrating an achievement?

We at Alessi are delighted to announce the win of four iconic products at the GOOD DESIGN® Awards 2023: The AR04 Table Lamp by Aldo Rossi, Conversational Objects by Virgil Abloh, Plissé Drip Coffee by Michele De Lucchi and 3909 Kettle by Michael Graves and Virgil Abloh Securities. The GOOD DESIGN® is an annual award program that honors the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product and graphic designs produced around the world. It is presented by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and promoted by the European Centre for Architecture, Art Design and Urban Studies.

Conceived in Chicago in 1950 by MoMA founder and curator Edgar Kaufmann Jr, together with some avant-garde figures in modern design, such as Charles and Ray Eames, Russel Wright, George Nelson and Eeron Saarinen, it represents the oldest and most prestigious awards program worldwide.

The GOOD DESIGN® is awarded by evaluating over 900 design, graphic, and packaging projects from more than 48 countries, based on criteria such as innovation, sustainability, creativity, branding, form, functionality, materials used, utility, and aesthetics.
For more than seventy years, the Chicago Athenaeum has been involved in creating awareness about contemporary design, honoring the achievements of the best industrial, graphic designers and manufactures for their pursuit of extraordinary quality.
Alessi is proud to be part of a worldwide design excellence.
