Antonio Aricò has created La petite mariée, the party favour that takes the form of a small porcelain woman whose delicate dress conceals a little container for wedding favour sweets. Once the sweets have been eaten, the party favour can be used as elegant boxes for little items of jewellery.
Graduated from the Polytechnic School of Milan and Alta Scuola Politecnica, Antonio felt from an early age a strong interest and energy in finding his own language and way to define his love for design. He has presented a few iconic objects - the Watering Kettle Cans, the Swing Chair or the Water Pitcher Block and created a few successful collections like ‘Back Home’ and ‘Taste of Wood’. Since few years Antonio is constantly working with clients like Seletti and Barilla Group. His work has already been shown around the world, lately with the exhibition “The New Italian Design” that went around the world: San Francisco, Santiago de Chile, Cape Town and he has been invited for various workshops: in Venice Biennial with IN-Residence at the Swiss Pavilion and in Australia with the RMIT university. Antonio’s Aricò latest highlights: an invitation of Lidewij Edelkoort to participate at the Nomadismi exhibition in Milan in 2013, his Water Pitcher Block and Oil Tank being selected by Rossana Orlandi for Larte restaurant in the Edita Materia Collection in Milan in 2014.
