The Alessi Research Centre (CSA) was set up in 1990 for two purposes: to draw up theoretical papers on topics associated with objects (to be published as books), and to coordinate work with young designers. Born in Tokyo in 1968, she studied at the Royal College of Art in London and specialized her research in the design of jewellery and silverware with training in metal casting and forging.
