“OUI” designed by LPWK (Laura Polinoro Workshop) – Andrea Incontri. <<“Oui”. The desire to say YES. YES to what is supposed to happen. To something right. Say YES. Open a possibility. Ok, it’s time. Union, relation, conviviality. For what? For creativity, happiness, existing. An intertwined object, an encounter between two units, YES to meeting. YES is possible. It is the beginning of a collection that will be wed to various typologies and dedicated to this attitude.>> (Laura Polinoro and Andrea Incontri)

The Designer

Andrea Incontri

He graduated in Architecture in 1971 and his experience embraces both design and research. Andrea Incontri's point of view does not create specific categories but aesthetic visions which can be measured through the sensitive identity of personal experience. His experience as a researcher (Première Vision for fabrics), designer (Fratelli Rossetti, AI_, ADD, Pontoglio 1883, Samsung) and teacher (Henkel, Wella, L’Oréal, Nivea for Milan Polytechnic and the European Institute of Design) helps to acquire a special language that focuses on social custom and attitudes towards the space occupied by objects whether they are handcrafted or industrial products. Since 2008 he has been working with Laura Polinoro for Alessi on developing new types of product.
