Jar in 18/10 stainless steel, mirror polished, with knob in aluminium. One of the best results of the Memory Containers metaproject, coordinated by Centro Studi Alessi in the early 1990s and which involved 200 young designers (aged under 30) working in the area of archetypes for presenting and offering food.
The Alessi Research Centre (CSA) was set up in 1990 for two purposes: to draw up theoretical papers on topics associated with objects (to be published as books), and to coordinate work with young designers. Up until that time Alessi had only worked with “major designers”, and I felt a certain degree of responsibility towards young, upcoming designers. Alberto Alessi
She was born in London in 1962 and studied at the Middlesex Polytechnic. She lives and works in Milan where she collaborated with Andrea Branzi before setting up her own studio, Zoo design. She is one of the founders of the Doc group.
